Well, so far everyone has been very polite in the submission/vetting process. I trust everyone will continue to be nice and civil. However, just so there are no misunderstandings, I've written a few general guidelines to aid in the process.
Quality
:bulletgreen: Judge the quality of each submission on an individual deviant's skills and abilities. Certainly don't judge them on their equipment.
:bulletgreen: Do not weigh too heavily technical issues such as compression as this may simply be an artifact of software or lack of knowledge in processing and may not be properly representative of an individual's photographic talents.
Composition
:bulletgreen: While constructive criticism in composition is always welcome, except in extreme circumstances, poor composition is likely not enough (by itself) enough to deny a submission
Effect
:bulletgreen: If it is unclear just what photographic importance the long exposure holds in a specific piece, be sure to ask the deviant before voting to deny the submission.
:bulletgreen: If the metadata is posted and it is clearly not a relatively long exposure, you do not have to ask.

:bulletgreen: The most important advice is to use common sense and not to rush through voting too quickly.

Important: If you vote to deny a submission, please give a short, respectful reason why in the "Give Feedback Visible to (username)" area so that deviant can continue to grow as an artist. I would encourage anyone whose work is denied not to become disenfranchised and leave but rather to accept the constructive criticism as help. If any photographer ever needs some help or tips, just leave a comment and we'll get back to you to help out.

Also, if anyone can think of more guidelines, leave a comment and I'll add them.
-Nic

It's pretty obvious from my own gallery that I love night photography.... Playing on my phone or iPad whilst watching the bulb timer tick away the minutes on my camera, it's the perfect pace for me :D

Wow, there's lots of neat pics in here. You guys might have to give me some tips. I'm not familiar with light graffiti, and it's really cool.

I have some interesting extended exposure with light manipulation, but some (most actually) contain nudity of the male body. Do you accept nudes that are NOT in poor taste?

Thank you for accepting me in your group.

May I ask please, how many submissions do you allow per week or month?

Toni.
